The sport of Bodybuilding and Fitness throughout Asia reaches a new milestone for its practitioners, followers and fans as the Asian BodyBuilding Federation (ABBF) establishes its own presence on the World Wide Web, at www.abbf.biz.
The ABBF Secretariat, based in Singapore, will provide its viewers with regular up-to-date reports and news of all Bodybuilding and Fitness activities throughout the Asian continent.
In the Age of the Internet and high-speed communications, the ABBF strives to keep its viewers well-informed of upcoming events, contest results, reports and news, and other important activities of our Continental Federation.
Formed in 1959, the ABBF was the first IFBB-affiliated Continental Federation and has since grown from 6 to 40 National Affiliates.
The ABBF is proud of its membership in the Olympic Council of Asia and the General Assembly of Asian Sports Federations. Bodybuilding was included as a Medal Sport in the 2002 Asian Games in Busan, South Korea, and in several South East Asian Games, which are recognized by the International Olympic Committee.
On behalf of the ABBF, I take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to the many dedicated sport officials throughout Asia who help make our federation strong. A very special thanks to our IFBB President, Ben Weider, CM, CQ, SBStJ, PhD, whose continued support and guidance plays a key role in our growth and development.
*Paul Chua also hold the position of IFBB Vice-President for Asia, Secretary-General of Commonwealth Bodybuilding Fedration. Paul is also the Executive Director to the President of the IFBB
