Mr. M. Letchmenon who is known as the "encyclopedia of bodybuilding" in Singapore has been elected to fill the vacant post left by Cpt. (Retd.) Richard Teng at the Quality Hotel, Conference Room on 27th August, 2008.

Mr. Letchmenon served the SBBF as its General-Secretary for 17 years under Datuk Paul Chua during his tenure. His first love is bodybuilding and in his speech after his election, he said: "I will never leave any stones unturned and will work tirelessly for the sport to bring honour to Singapore".

Mr. M. Letchmenon known popularly as "Letch" was a childhood friend of Datuk Paul Chua over 50 years. He is also the President of Peranakan Chetti Malacca in Singapore, and also a volunteer probation officer with the MCYS (Ministry of Community Youth Services).

Age: 67 and married with 3 sons.

Fifteen (15) affiliated clubs were represented at the Extra Ordinary General Meeting, and they unanimously elected Mr. Letchmenon to lead the federation for the coming years.
