Our grateful thanks goes to the hardworking President of the South East Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, Mr. Douglas Latchford a.k.a Khun Pakpong Kriangsak and his Secretary, Mr. Sugree Supawarikul for their diligent hard work in getting Laos to be affiliated to the International Federation of Bodybuilding & Fitness and to the Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation.

On 1st August, 2007...a meeting was organised in Laos and Bodybuilding was discussed for the forthcoming SEA Games in Korat, Thailand in December. It was a fruitful meeting. Mr. Douglas Latchford who is also the President of the Thailand Bodybuilding Association has invited the Laos National team to train in Bangkok at the Power Zone gym from September 6 - to the time of the SEA Games in December. TBBA President Douglas Latchford has undertaken to sponsor their expenses during this 3 month period.

Bodybuilding's inclusion in the 2009 SEA Games in Laos was also discussed and the Laos Sports Department fully support the inclusion of our sport.

Mr. Douglas Latchford (President of SEABBF & TBBA), Khun Somphu Pongsa, Vice-President of the Laotian National Sports Committee, Khun Bounmy Bannavong (President of the Laos Bodybuilding Association) and Khun Sengphone Phonh Amath (Director General of the Elite Sports Dept.). Mr. Latchford is presenting a copy of the Thai Bodybuilding Association book "The Siamese male physique" to Khun Somphu Phongsa
