Mr. Sugendran Krishnan was competitive bodybuilder in the year 2000 and 2001. In 2002, he pursued higher education and in the year 2006 was awarded the Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London. He returned back in 2008 to serve as Honorary General Secretary of SBBF.

Mr. Sugendran worked as a career police officer for 11 years before being transferred to the Ministry of Community Development Youth and Sports in 2007 as a Senior Officer. Mr. Sugendran has also served in many grassroots committees including the Youth Executive Committee, Community Centre Management Committee, Central Youth Council and T-Net Advisory Council.

He is 32 years of age and is married to Ms. Kavitha Mahalingam.
